Math Puzzle - That man is ...
That man must be my son.

1) The person speaking must be me and I must be a father.
2) That man must be my son.
3) This problem is interesting because many students would not consider this question to be mathematical but more like a puzzle. I think this is true because there is a lack of numbers and students are not taught that logic is a discipline of mathematics.
To solve this problem, I drew a family tree starting at the man. Going up his ancestral path, I reached "my father." Going down from "my father" reaches me. However, that would have meant that his father and I would be siblings, contradicting the fact that I have no brothers or sisters. That means I must also be "that man's father" so he is my son.

Good work!
